How Can You Create a Great Health Foundation During Your 20s?

You have completed your childhood and even become an adult. How much thought have you put into your health up until this point? If you are like many other 20-some year olds, your parents have taken care of most of your health needs up until this point. Now it is your turn to manage your own health and create a great health foundation during your 20’s. During your 20’s, you will start having some stress. You are going to take on your own life, maybe get married, have bills you need to pay, get a serious job and much more. You must learn how to handle how that stress affects your life. There are many things you can do to manage that stress including exercise, meditation and more. If you don’t manage your stress it could lead to cholesterol, heart health, sexual dysfunction and other health issues.

How does stress affect your brain in your 20’s?

The gray matter is the actual cells that are living. When you are in your 20’s, the matter in your brain reaches maturity. This means you are able to moderate and decide more about your emotions than ever before. Additionally, your body is going to reach peak production of testosterone. This will help with the resiliency and plasticity of your brain. The resiliency is how strong your brain is. The plasticity is how well your brain is able to improve and modify. The levels of your testosterone affect how well you are able to handle a challenge. When you get into your late 20’s, your cognitive abilities may become to decline. If you want to maintain your brain health in your 20’s, aerobic exercise should be your first go-to solution. You should also mix in some anaerobic exercising such as weight lifting. Combining these things will help you to maintain your cognitive abilities. You should also make sure you are eating better. Your brain needs healthy foods to keep at its best. How will your immune system respond in your 20’s?

When you hit the time of puberty, your immune system became fully functional. There isn’t too much you can do to make it better in your 20’s. This will help with preventing the spread of germs and with the prevention of you getting sick as well.

What about your digestive health in your 20’s?

When you are in your 20’s, you don’t need to worry too much about your digestive health. You won’t need a colonoscopy until you hit your 50’s. Now, if there is colon cancer or other similar types of cancers in your family, you may want to start getting checked sooner rather than later.

What about your skin health during your 20’s?

Your skin is at its best when you are in your 20’s. If you want to maintain great skin, you first need to make sure you watch for any moles or changes in skin color in certain areas. If you detect anything suspicious or different, speak to a doctor. Make sure you wear sunscreen when going outside and be sure you use all-natural lotion to keep your skin healthy and smooth.

Between all of these areas of your health, you should be on a roll in your 20’s. You are at your peak in the health department and you don’t need to worry about much unless there is a disease or cancer that runs in your family.
