Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser is suppose to absorb excess oil for those who suffer from oily skin, but we’ve heard it all before. The formula is designed to penetrate deeply and clean the skin while refreshing it with Menthol and Cucumber extracts. A lot of formulas make these same exact claims. That is why we are going to dig a little deeper and look past product claims and see what the product has actually done from real customers. Therein lies the truth about Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser. Can it actually remove oil from the skin surface and refine the complexion? We are about to find out.

What REAL users are saying…
“I have oily skin and this cleanser is amazing! It has a tingly/cooling sensation when applied which I think feels incredible. What I love most about this product is after I use it – my face is clean, but not dry. A lot of other products I’ve used for oily skin strips out all of the moisture to combat my excess oil, but this leaves my face clean yet moisturized. I’ll definitely be buying this product again.”
“I love that it cleanses but also leaves somewhat of a refreshing feel on the face. It smells nice but you just feel rejuvenated after using it.”
“I have been using this for a couple of days now with toner and moisturiser. I only use it once a day as i first started using the medi bac cleanser twice a day and it caused more oil and bumps on my forehead. I bought this as i do have oily/combo skin and i assumed it would be not as harsh as the medi bac cleanser. I am hoping that after a while my skin will calm down and the bumps will go away.”
“This will remove layers of oil and sebum build up. Feels very refreshing and cooling. I find that this is good after a day of sunscreen and outdoor activity where I have a layer of oil to remove from skin. Good as a daily clarifyer also.”
Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser Directions:
Using the pump, place a nickel sized amount of the formula and rub in light, upwards strokes starting with the neck and moving upwards. Be sure to work formula thoroughly into problem areas where it is needed most to cleanse and cut oil. Rinse with warm water and pat face dry gently.
Does This Stuff Work?
The real question is does this stuff actually work? From user reviews on the Dermalogica site it is easy to see that many users raved about this product. It got 4.7 stars out of 5 from over 100 different reviews. The only trouble with this is that it is their site and it is possible they weed out the really negative reviews. Most reviews were honest and expressed some breakouts after use that they were waiting out. If you are okay with pay $36 for this product, it is totally a great way to get rid of the oil. Everyone was over the moon, the ingredient list is top notch, and it is a quality product. I would recommend trying to cop a free sample before making the plunge to see how you like it!
